Everyone can help in some way.

  • You can apply for the tasks based on your interest.
  • There are tasks available for both people of legal age, as well as for young people who have not yet turned 18.
  • Both one-time and longer term volunteering tasks are available.
  • You can also volunteer remotely.

Taking people with disabilities into account during disruptions

  • Please note that some disabled people may have difficulty hearing traditional alarms.
  • Make sure that communication is multi-channel and that everyone can access the necessary information.
  • Use visual, auditory or touch-based communication methods as needed.
  • If a disabled person needs an assistant, make sure that the assistant also has a clear role and knows how to act in an emergency.
  • Take into consideration the individual needs of the person you are helping, such as medications, special diets or means of communication, and make sure they are available during emergencies.

When we help each other, Finland is a better place for everyone.

On the Vapaaehtoistyö.fi service, you can find and submit volunteer tasks.
